Brilliant Wedding--Christ church in Denton was the scene, Wednesday morning, of n joyous event in the lives of four young persons and their numerous friends. It was the occasion of the celebration of a double wedding. The contracting parties were Mr. Alonzo P. Crew, of Baltimore, and Miss Bettie B. Jump, of Denton; and Mr. Emmett Downes and Miss Sallie E. Jump, both of Dentou. The brides are sisters, being daughters of the late Josiah Jump, formerly clerk of the circuit court for Caroline county. The nuptials were witnessed by a large assemblage of friends of the brides and grooms. A popular march was rendered by Miss Minnie Bidgely at the organ as the wedding party approached the chnncel-rail, where they were met by the Rev. S. D. Hall, who performed the ceremony according to the ritual of the church, joining each couple. Mr. George M. Russuin gave both brides away. Miss Bettie wore a very stylish Havana brown, and Miss Bailie was becomingly attired in it} marine bjue, The chancel of tho church was handsomely decorated With beautiful flowers by the friends pf the brides. The windows of the phurch were shaded and brilliant lights shone from the chandeliers.
