Koasman, who was about to retire, saw two men making an effort to raise one of the windows of his home. He secured 'his revolver but the marauders were scared away before he had a chance to bring the weapon into use. Kossman fired two shots at them as they were running, but his aim being bad, they escaped unhurt.
