LANCE K. BLAIR Accident Victim Cycle Crash Kills Layton Servicemen LAYTON —Lance Cpl. Lance K Blair, 18, U.S. Army, son of Mr and Mrs. Berdell L. Blair I at Camp Irwin, Calif. He was killed when the motorcycle on which he was riding went out of control and he was thrown to the pavement. The California Highway Patrol said Cpl. Blair lost control of his mortocycle on a desert road east of Camp Irwin. He attended Layton Central Junior High School and Davis High School. He was a member of the Layton 10th LDS Church. He enlisted in the Army in December 1967 at Ft. Lewis, Wash., and was assigned to Camp Irwin, Calif., in May 1963. Surving are his parents, three brothers and three sisters, Bradford B. Blair, Scott L. Blair. Kyle J. Blair. Melarne Blair, Hollie Blair, all of Layton; Mrs. Jeff (Denice) McKnight, Ventura, Calif.; two grandmothers, Mrs. Ethel Cnd- dle and Mrs. Myrtle Blair, both of Ogden. SERVICES FRIDAY Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the LDS Layton 4th-7th-13th Ward Chapel, 275 Park, with Bishop Richard W. Bauer officiating. The family will meet mends at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary 340 N. Main, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 11 am until 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in Washington Heights Memorial Park in South Ogden with military honors accorded.
