Mr. Edward GOhon, a candidate of the Society for Alderman from the ninth ward, appeared with a recommendatory letter asking endorsement. A delegation representing the workingmen of the city-presented the names Peter Dsly, of the Fourteenth ward; John of the Twenty-second ward, and Ulchael the Eighteenth ward, wesldent of the Carpenters' Union for Aldermen. The German Association, headed by Senator Wiseman, recommended Smith for member of Assembly In the district, and Patterson in the Tenth. For Aldermen they recommended both Peter Kerr George A. Jeremiah, of the Tenth Assembly and Joseph a-PincKney, of the Fourteenth Aldermanic district. The The Executive Council of Political Reform, Taxpayers, c., recommended the following for men:--J.B.H.Vance (rep.). Peter Gilsey (dem.), John Falconer (rep.). David-M. Kobler (Apollo Hall). Robert G. Cornell (Butchers'Republican Association), George Burkhardt (dem.), Fred (dem.), William Gardner (rep.), Oscar ZolilcoHer (rep.), Hiram studley, George Hunter, Jr.-(deai.), William Badden (rep.). Henry Clanson (dem.), Samuel Hall (rep.), Addispn Smith (rep.); and Coroner. Dr. A'dolpbua Kessler. No endorsement has been made of any for City Jndge, and the committee state emphatically that no man will be chosen for the he ia a republican.
