James M. Langford, 87, of Fair-dale, Fair-dale, Fair-dale, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at his residence. He was a sergeant in the US Army tank battalion in World War II, a POW and a survivor of the Bataan Death March. He was a retired retired employee of Marley Co. and a member of Cole Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Langford; a daughter, Wanda K.; a sister, Ethel Brock; and brothers, Mack, Louie, Robert and Dillard Langford. His funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fairdale-McDaniel Fairdale-McDaniel Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Funeral Home, with interment in Evergreen Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 2-8 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 11 a.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to Cedar Lake Lodge .
