Pe Ell By MBS. JOHN J. GUDYKA PE ELL -- Commencement ex- erclses for seniors were held in the new gymnasium Thursday evening. The Rev. Harold Ogren, of the Assembly of God church, offered the invocation. Master of ceremonies was Robert Rollins, who extended a cordial welcome to many parents and friends gathered for the ceremonies. Theme of the program was "The Foundation of a Successful Career". The various aspects of education -- vocational, social, physical, and academic -- were the topics of the speeches given by Robert Feuchter, salutatorian; Ellen Kroll, class speaker; Bill Raschkow, faculty speaker, and Evelyn Kindell, valedictorian. Musical numbers were presented by the senior double quartet, "Great Day", Bill Brame and Fred Tobiason, a trumpet duet, "Now Is the Hour", and Robert Feuchter, a clarinet solo, "Nocturne". Honor awards were presented as follows: vocational agriculture, Robert Feuchter; journalism, Ellen Kroll; music, Robert Feuchter; a set On Mr. from A. was athletics, Charles Yocdm. The scholarship award went to Evelyn Kindell. The citizenship plaque will dinner have the names of Ellen Kroll and Fred Tobiason engraved on it. The DAR citizenship award was presented to Ellen Kroll and the Babe Ruth sportsmanship award was given to Ellen Kroll and Fred Tobia- ton. Seniors receiving Torch Honor pins were Barbara Capps, Robert Feuchter, Ellen Floyd, Evelyn Kindell, Barbara Raymond, Virginia Wynn, Bill Raschkow, Bob Rollins and Ellen Kroll.
