is a OBITUARIES Gtorg* E. Prtusa George F. Preuss, 56, former JanesviUe Gazette compositor who was associated with the Beloit Daily News the past 15 years, was found dead Thursday morning in his room at the Beloit YMCA. Cor oner Richard McCaul said that death was due to a heart attack suffered soon after Mr. Preuss had finished work at the Beloit News Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Preuss was employed at the JanesviUe Gazette from Janu ary 1926 to May 1944 when he became became an employe of Beloit News. He had previously worked at the Rockford Star for one year. He had made reservations for a fishing trip in Canada with party of friends in two weeks. Born March 30, 1905, in Janes­ viUe, George Emil Preuss was the son of Herman and Bertha Peske Preuss. He attended JanesviUe schools and was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church. He mar ried Catherine Commons, Janes­ viUe, in Rockford Jan. 10, 1927. Survivors, all JanesviUe rest dents, are: his wife; a son, Ed' ward Preuss; daughter, Mrs. Henry Henry Thurner; seven grandchildren his mother, Mrs. Herman Preuss. two brothers, Walter and Hugo Preuss; two sisters, Mrs. James Mathews and Mrs. John Holapa His father preceded him in death Services will be at 10:45 a.m Saturday in St. Paul 's Church, the Rev. M. C. DroegemueUer officiating. officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
