Three USD Coeds [nitiated Into Music Sorority VERMILLION — Three Univer- ity of South Dakota coeds have been initiated into the USD chapter f Mu Phi Epsilon, women's hon- irary music sorority. Elaine Lang, sophomore, Chica- fo, Maryann Murphy, junior, Nor- oik, Neb., and Ruth Bartlett, senor, senor, Chamberlain, who were pledged pledged to the national sorority some ime ago, were activated at a cere- nony in Noteboom Hall. All the new actives are music education majors. Requirements or admission to the music sorority are based on scholarship, musicianship, musicianship, character and personality. Those eligible for membership are nusic majors or minors enrolled as candidates for a degree, who have attained at least second semester Yeshman standing. A reception in honor of the ttuee lew members was held following he initiation ceremony. Presenting musical numbers at the reception program were USD students Loretta Loretta Scoville, Mitchell, violin; Hazel Jensen Wek, Gayville, piano and Cleo Ann Harrington, Colman, vocal vocal solo.
