COURT DOCKET DUI conviction Tom Jondahl Jr., the 19-year-old son of former Mendochio County Sheriff I'om Jondahl, was convicted Thursday in Fort Bragg's Ten Mile Justice Court of drunken driving and causing a four-vehicle injury accident. 'The misdemeanor charges stem from an Aug. 5 accident at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 20 in .Fort Bragg. Witnesses testified that Jondahl's Ford Bronco drifted, over the Highway 1 fog line between the Noyo River Bridge and the intersection with HighWay 20. His vehicle struck a trailer being towed by a pickup, overturned, struck the rear of the pickup and then struck a second vehicle while skidding down Highway 1 on its side. Jondahl and his three passengers suffered lacerations and bruises.The drivers of the other vehicles were not injured. Jondahl's Bronco was .totalled, according to authorities. Testimony indicated that Jondahl and his passengers had been drinking on the drive from Willits to Fort Bragg. Prosecutor Al Kubanis said Jondahl faces a maximum penalty of a year in the county j ail. Sentencing was postponed until Nov. 7.
