Miners Boned by an Explosion. Vincknncs, Ind., Dec 23. William Higgins and Charles Sellers, Jr., were victims of a terrific powder explosion at the Freeman coal mines, this city. Higgins was blown 155 feet and Sellers hurled st distance of 65 feet. His cloth - incr was torn from his body and his flesh was frightfully burned. .How the men ever eseaped ' with their lives is a mystery. - The cause of the accident was a spark falling from the lamp oi one of tbe miners into a keg of powder.
