Carter, ons of tha county', oldest and most well known cttU sens died yesterday morning, at the home ot his daughter, Mrs. Robert Dreenwood, at Grace. The deceased was eighty-eight years ot sge and for, several years was one ot the prominent business men of the Big Ivy section nt this county. Revere! years ago. however, he moved to Qraoe making his home with his daughter at that place. He was a consistent member ot Ura e Methodist Protestant church, and was a man of strong character. He was very popular and the news of his death will be learned with regret by his friend. In this county. The funeral services will be conducted this morning nt o'elock, at the residence of Mra Greenwood, after which the body will be taken to Democrat for burial. Rev. C. W. Intra and Rev. J. 8. Williams will orrlclnte at the funeral services.
