of on to a all a in rewarded asbestos in be every SUNDAY MORNING FIRE. Home of Gust Anderson on Lincoln Street Destroyed. Emit Fahlman's Fahlman's Residence Damaged. On Sunday morning about four o'- cr*bk, Mr. Gust Anderson, residing on* Lincoln street, was awakened by smoke which filled his room to such an extent that be could scarcely see, and of course realizing that bis house was afire found his way down stairs ( where everything was ablaze in one room and the fire scattering to other parts of the house very rapidly. He only had time to slip Into his clothes clothes and get out consequently the house and all its contents were entirely entirely destroyed. The fire department, through no fault of theirs, was unavoidably delayed delayed in getting to the scene of the conflagration owing to the fact that tbe one sending in the alarm did not understand its working, and instead of pulling the lever down and leaving it spring back, kept a hold of same, consequently the alarm rung in anything anything but a box number, confusing the firemen so that they did not know which way to turn although they were all out and ready "to go," and the only way they discovered the location of the fire was by the reflection reflection from same after it had gained gained a great headway. Upon the arrival arrival of the department they proceeded proceeded to save the adjoining property property of Emile Fahlman which they did, however the one side of the house was badly damaged. When the fire broke out Mr. Anderson Anderson was asleep and alone, his wife being in Ridgway visiting friends. They lost all their furniture and persona! persona! belongings, and while he carried carried some insurance the amount will not cover one-half the loss. DEVOE TAKES LEAST GALLONS:
