'Pink Tank' To Be On Display INDIANTOWN GAP — IK Pennsylvania Army National Guard's new 50-ton "Pink Tank" will be the main attraction when the 103d Heavy- Equipment Maintenance Company opens its doors to the public Sunday. The open house, which begins at 10 a.m., will make available for viewing several "General Fatten" tanks, armored personnel carriers, MRS tank retrievers and other combat and engineering equipment. In addition, a small arms display will be performed for the public. A free turkey lunch will be served. Featured, however, will be a huge 50-ton tank which is painted shocking pink and blows rainbow-colored bubbles. The Pennsylvania Army National Guard recruiting office plans to use. the tank to draw attention to the changes in the National Guard and the technical training which is. also available available to those who enlist. Capt. Charles M. Bechtel,commander Bechtel,commander of the 134-man unit advises that positions as mechanics and fuel and electrical repairmen are available. SSgt. Roy B. Alley, Army National Guard recruiter, reminds that the National Guard can provide the schooling and training which can be used in attaining a civilian career.
