of of Huntsville Doctor Is Murder Victim Ntws of the death of Dr. John Carr Garrett, prominent physician of Huntsville, was received here Sunday by Rev. John F. Garrett, an uncle, and Mrs. K. G. Orts, an aunt. Texas dailies of Monday carried account of the shooting of Dr. Garrett by Albert Rucker, 25, who then took his own life, according to the coroner's verdict of murder and suicide. Dr. Garrett had been summoned to treat Mrs. Rueker, who had been injured when she jumped out of Rucker's car when he reportedly threatened to kill her. The 'shooting occurred, according to report, when Dr. Garrett advised Tucker to put his gun away, warning him that he was "liable to hurt some one." Funeral services for the slain man were held in the First Methodist church at Huntsville Tuesday morning at 10:00 o'clock. Burial' was iti Bogato. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Marie Stubblefield Garrett, of Huntsville, his father, Reverend E. Garrett, a Methodist pastor of Huntsville, and his'mother, who is ill in a Houston hospital. Reverend J. C. Carr of Houston, former Hearne pastor, is his grandfather. Going from Hearne to Huntsville for rites held there were Mr. and Mrs. K. G. Orts and family, Rev. John F. Garrett.
