The James Bond vehicle GOLDFINGER was banned in the Holy Land after it was revealed that one of the main actors, Gert Fröbe, was a Nazi during World War II. When a man went to the Israeli Embassy in Vienna to inform its staff that Fröbe hid him and his mother from the Nazis, making them in effect Holocaust survivors, the ban on the film was lifted.
