Duquesne Country and Athletic Club (Pittsburgh) sold out

The main body of the DC&AC died in 1901, although its basketball branch survived independently until about 1904. The club's old athletic field in Wilkinsburg continued to be known as "D.C. & A.C. Park" until being replaced by housing in the 1920s. The Duquesne Athletic Club that occupied Phipps Natatorium on Duquesne Way (est. 1908) was a new organization and not a continuation of the DC&AC as has sometimes been assumed.
