- MARSHALL NOTES Judge Blaine W. Hatch was in Marshall circuit court, today. He granted a decree for divorce to William William T. Crawford of Battle Creek vs. Nellie M. Crawford. Testimony was taken in the divorce case cf Mildred Lemon of Battle Creek vs. Lawrence Lemon. The divorce case of Guy Howard Grant vs. Grace E. Grant having been brought to be hear this morning upon the cross bill taken as confessed by the plaintiff, plaintiff, Mr. Grant, there was a decree decree for divorce upon the cross-bUl, cross-bUl, cross-bUl, granted. It was claimed that the separation of Mr. and Mrs. Grant was April 10, 1919. Mrs. Grant Js given the custody of the minor child, Virginia. Five non-payment non-payment non-payment of alimony cases were taken care of in court. Arnold Perry of Battle Creek who was in arrears about $150 on this charge is to make a substantial payment payment in court tomorrow. Perry was taken in custody by Arthur EcklofT, friend of the court, at Battle Creek Saturday. Mr. Eckloff was in Bay City Sunday and brought back William William Adsit to appear in court this morning. He was in arrears in the payment of alimony $1,670, attorney's attorney's fee of $50 and $25 officer's cost in court. Adsit is to pay $100 forthwith forthwith to apply on alimony and $5 in the future each week. In addition he is to pay from $3 to $5 every week. William Grenier of Marshall who is in arrears to the amount cf $915 aince December 17, 1926, was ordered to pay $10 per week until the case is brought to hearing in court. Arthur Chappell of Albion was in court on the charge of contempt contempt of court but his case was adjourned until James W. Mackey, his attorney, appears in court. Mr. Mackey represents Mr. Grenier also.
