Watts was up from Paw Paw Monday and reports every thing lovely in that portion of the | country and he says that much of the corn is shoulder high and that many farmers are done plowing. "1 have never seen better crop prospects prospects at this season of the year" said he. The Democratic club met Saturday Saturday night and elected W. J. Watte, W. O. Bruton, J. W. Breedlove, Thos. J. Watts and W. D. Sballen- delegates to the convention convention at Ard more June the 11th. The delegation was placed under the unite rule and instructed to vote for Col. Marcum for National committeeman. Resolutions endorsing endorsing tbe Chicago platform and favoring the re-nomiuation of W. J. Bryan for president were also adopted. ^ *v «
