Claxton for killing ; Otto Junek ,noar North Eim on July | 22, 1024. The jury assessed the nun- ishment of the defendant at ninety; nine y?nrs in the penitentiary. Mr. Claxton is also under indictment for the murder of J. M. MeAlpine and assault assault to murder Mrs. .1. M .MeAlpine at the time of the killing of Otto Junek and these cases are now on the docket for trial. The State and defendant had and now have able and zealous attorneys respresenting their respective sides in the trial and appellate appellate courts.
