Levona wedding announcement in Carroll paper
William Bowler's Niece, Levona Howell, Marries in California Miss Levona Howell, daughter of Mrs. Mary Howell of Maywood, Calif., formerly of Omaha, and granddaughter of the late Mrs. Catherine Bowler of Carroll, became the bride of Cpl. Charles N. Lawson, TJSMC, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo N, Lawson of Seneca Falls, N. Y„ in an 8:15 ceremony this morning at St. Rose of Lima Church, Maywood. The Rev. Maurice Ryan read the single ring service and nuptial mass. Sister Mary Ruth presided at the organ and the church choir sang. The bride wore a white gabardine suit and small white straw hat with shoulder-length veil. Her flowers were pink perfection camellias. Miss Marilyn Kantock of Loa Angeles, who served as bridesmaid l wore a yellow suit with brown .accessories and a corsage of flame-colored camellias. Walter Auberger of Pasadena, Calif., uncle of the bridegroom, was the best man. At 9:30 there was a wedding breakfast for the bridal party and immediate families at The Hub. Twenty were seated at a table decorated with red roses and a wedding cake topped with a miniature bride in white and a marine in dress blue uniform. After a 10-day wedding trip through southern California, the couple will reside at Maywood. The bride attended St. Joseph's school in Carroll and was graduated from Cathedra] high school in Omaha.
