President-Elect Of TSPE To Speak C. J. Montgomery, president elect of Texas Society of Professional Engineers, will speak at the annual meeting of the Baytown Chapter of TSPE, at 7 p.m. Friday at the Tower. New officers of the Baytown Chapter to be installed are A. B. (Fred) O'Brien Jr., president; A. R. (Bob) Zubik, vice president of external affairs; A. M. (Max) Souby, vice president of internal affairs; affairs; J. C. (John) Finneran, secretary; G. P. (Pat) Mann, treasurer; and T. E. (Tommy) Cook, state director. Montgomery has been employed by Getty Oil Co. at Kilgore since 1936, except for four years in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific Area. He now serves as manager of Computer Computer Systems and Data Processing. A registered professional enginer in Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico and a registered public surveyor and licensed state land surveyor in Texas, Montgomery is a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He is a member of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, American Congress on Surveying Surveying and Mapping, Houston Engineering and Scientific Society, Texas Surveyors Association and Association for Computing Machinery. Tickets will be $4.50 per person. Baytown Hear Frank H. Newnam Jr., president president and co-owner of the consulting consulting engineering firm of Lockwood, Andrews and Newnam, Newnam, Inc., will speak on ground subsidence Thursday night at the annual dinner meeting of the San Jacinto Branch of American Society of Civil Engineers.
