OBITUARY On January 12, 1936, death entered entered the home of Mrs. C. H. Harris Harris and took away from this world of suffering and sorrow the sweet spirit of a loving mother, Mrs. Sally Pruitt McGuire Harris, age 86 years, five months one day. We know that she has lived her time out here on earth, and is now at rest where all sickness, sorrow and heartaches never enter in. Her sweet smile, and toddling steps are going to be missed by the entire community, as well as the ones that were so near her every day. She joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Presbyterian church when a young woman woman and lived a consecrated Christian Christian life. The life she lived is before us to follow in the same foot prints. Though we miss her, we have one thought that comforts us, and that is the separation is not forever. She leaves six children: Mr. S. E. McGuire, Ruston, La.; Mr. W. H. McGuire, Arcadia, La.; Mr. R. E. Harris, Simsboro, La.; Mrs. Dan Howell, Simsboro, La.: Mrs. J. L. Sherrard, Ruston, La.; Mrs. C. N. Jones, Haughton, La., besides a host of relatives and friends to mourn her death. The funeral services were held in the home at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, with Rev. S. E. McFadden, McFadden, of Ruston, conducting the services. Interment followed in the Simsboro Simsboro cemetery, where she was laid to rest beneath a blanket of flowers flowers under the direction of Kilpatrick Kilpatrick Funeral Co.
