\CARTHAGE MAN, 81 FOUND \TWO DEAD IN HIS ROOM\ Cntthase, Mo., Sept. 12.-- Walter E. Wclton, SI years old, a retired quarryman, was found dea'd about 4:30 o'clock this afternoon at the home where he roomed, 210 Lincoln street, lie had been in ill health about a year. Tha body was found by Mark I Wclton of Carthage, a brother of I \JL ^(^.-...v, - - ', · the dead ^man, and Mrs. Lillian ' ' - - - - ' - - · - - --- Brigglc, who owns the home he resided. Mrs. Briggle said she called Mr. Welton's brother when she was unable 1o arouse the elderly man by knocking on his door. He apparently had died in his sleep early today. Mr. Wclton was born May 24. 1872, in Shclbyville, 111., and moved I to Carthage with his parents in 1SSD, residing here since that time, Surviving besides the brother are several nieces and nephews. The body was received by the Knell mortuary.
