Coleman, Mrs. Earl - Named president of local UDC, 25 May 1966
Mrs. Coleman is named president of local I/DC Mrs. Earl Coleman was installed installed president of the Robert E. Lee Chapter of the United Daughters cf the Confederacy at a recent meeting of the group. Other officers Installed by Mrs. Wilhemlnia Lyles were Mrs. C. J. Reynolds, first vice president and Mrs. Alton Jackson, Jackson, secretary. Also, Mrs. T. G. Mitchell, treasurer; Mrs. L. J. Wheeldon, Wheeldon, registrar; Mrs. Lyles, historian; historian; Mrs. J. M. Nutter, re- Mrs. C. V. Windham. chaplain. Mrs. Lyles also gave a history history of the Confederate Memorial Memorial Day celebrated June 3. Mrs. Lydia Sweeney, president, president, presided at the brief business business meeting during which reports reports of the state convention were given. The group met at the Hurlbut Hurlbut Camp on English Bayou. After the meeting, a covered dish luncheon was served. The next meeting will be corder of crosses; Catherine j Sept. 7 with Mrs. Coleman as Tuten, custodian of flags, and'hostess.
