A Pleasant Surprise. Mr. and Mrs. 11. .1. Hrubaker were agreeably surprised last nigh I. by a party of their friends. The surpriseis met at the homo of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Ha/lett and marched to the. Hrubaker residence in a body. The .surprise was a complete one. yet the guests were none the, less welcome and were made to feel entirely at home. Various games were played and the evening was spent in true sociability. Excellent refreshments worn served during the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Brubaker are earnest workers in the temperance caus», and tiro highly regarded by all who know them.' They are tried and Into members of Centennial Lodge of Good Templars and their hearts are in the temperance work. The guests last night are earnest workers in the same cause, aiul|tho meeting was a very congenial congenial one. Among those present wore: Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Preston, Mr. and Mrs. II. J.
