MissEngland, W.V.Wessler Wed In An event of local interest was the marriage of Miss Lucille England, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merlin H. England of Plain City and Walter V. Wessler, son of and Mrs. George C. Wessler, of 2960 Adams, which was solemnized in the Salt Lake City L. D. temple at high noon, Wednesday. The ceremony was performed by . Elder George F. Richards. Mrs. Merlin H. England and Mrs. William T. Knight, mother and aunt of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. G. Pickett, uncle and aunt of the bridegroom accompanied the young couple to Salt Lake City. Immediately after the ceremony the bridal party returned to Og, den. A supper for the members the two families was given at the home of the bridegroom's parents. . A reception was given by the bride's parents in the Plain City hall Thursday evening. The young bride was charming in her wed- » ding gown of bridal white satin fashioned with high neckline, long tight-fitting sleeves, and flaring skirt. The bridal veil was finger tip length and caught at the with a wreath of orange blossoms. Her bouquet was gardenias, roses and lilies of the valley. The young couple will make their home in Ogden. On Tuesday, the bride-to-be was the complimented guest at a lovely party at the home of Mrs. Herman M. Payne. The invited guests were Mrs. Merlin H. England Mrs. George C. Wessler, Mrs. William J. Roberts, Mrs. A. W. e n s e n , Mrs. Susie Evans, Gwen Evans, Mrs. Jack Evans, Mrs. George Wangsgard,' Mrs. Ted Gaut, Mrs. Herbert Burrell, Mrs. Russell Badger, Mrs. Leon Farley, Mrs. D. W. Tanner, Mrs George C. Wessler, Jr., Mrs. Walter Amidan, Misses Naomi, Marion, Louise, Dorothy Wessler, and Edna England. Out-of-town guests were Mrs. Ernest Korgenski, Mrs. George Cordery, Mrs. George Batley, Mrs. Rose Batley of Salt Lake and Mrs. Abe Hillam of Brigham City. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. D. G. Pickett and daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Barrett and Mrs. ^^" Herman M. Payne, and Mrs. eph Parsons and daughters, the Misses Margaret, Naomi, and Evelyn Parsons. Mrs. G. C. Wessler, and daughters and Mrs. G. C. Wessler, entertained at Mrs. G. C. Wessler Sr. home in honor of the bride-to- be May 5.
