Giovanni Twins celebrate 65th birthday Mrs. Josephine Mascagni Monly and her twin brother, Henry "Buster" M a s c a g n i , b o t h of G r e e n v i l l e , celebrated their 65th birthday Aug. 1. The party was held on the shaded lawn of the Mascagni home on Main Street Extended from 3-6 p.m. Hostesses for the celebration were the sisters and brother of the honorees. Mrs. A l m a Williams. Mrs. Lena Fioranelli, Mrs. Sophie Kozielski and Frank Mascagni Jr.. all of Greenville, and Mrs. Mary Cantin of Vicksburg. Mrs. Monty wore a yellow rose corsage, a gift from Xi Omicron chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. Mascagni wore a red rose boutonniere. Refreshment tables under the trees were covered with white linen cloths and decorated with magnolia blooms and foliage. Twin birthday cakes were on the c e n t e r t a b l e . T r a y s o f p a r t y sandwiches were served from the table. , Approximately 200 guests called d u r i n g t h e a p p o i n t e d h o u r s t o congratulate the guests of honor. The twins, horn Aug. 2. 1911 in the old Greenville Sanitorium, were Ihe son and daughter of Ihe late Mr. and M r s F r a n k M a s c a g n i S r . o f Greenville. The late Dr. A.G. Payne and the late Dr. Jerome Hirsch Sr.. were the attending physicians The twins graduated from St. Rose of IJma School and are communicants of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mrs. Monly. widow of Will Monty of Clarksdale. has a daughter. Mrs Joe Pellegrini of Modesto, Calif, a son. Bobby Monty of Greenville, and three grandchildren. "Aunt J o s e p h i n e , " as she is affectionately known to many friends, is a member of St. Ann's Sewing Circle. St. Joseph's Altar Society and t h e I t a l i a n Club A u x i l i a r y . A n honorary member and sponsor of Xi Omicron and Beta Epsilon. chapters of Beta Sigma Phi. she is also sponsor for the St. Joseph School cheerleaders and member of the advisory board of the Catholic Youth Organization. Mrs. Monty's hobbies are traveling, cooking, sewing and helping others. Mascagni is married to the former Laura Pierini of Lake Village, Ark. The couple has three daughters, Bobbie Ann. Maura and Betlie Jo Mascagni, a son. Buster Mascagni Jr., and a grandson, all of Greenville. He is a member of the Italian Club. Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph's Athletic Association Mascagni's hobbies are hunting, boxing and growing a garden with lots of boll weevils! Meat buying CHICAGO (UPD--The higher a household's income, the more it spends on meat, says the National Live Stock and Meat Board. A study of California consumers made for the trade organization indicates most income groups spend one-third of their total food budget for meal, but about 40 per cent of their food dollar goes to meat when their annual income is above S20,000. The sludy also indicated that trips to the grocery increased slightly as income grew. Most consumers said they made one or two shopping trips week, but 30 per cem of those earning more than $20.000 a year made three to five weekly trips for food.
