DISCHARGED FROM COMPANY K SAYS WILL REENLIST IF WAR C. W. McKemy returned to El Paso Monday evening from Terlingua, Texas, where he had been with company K. of the Texas National guard, since the middle of May. "I enlisted on June 19, 1913, and T asked for a discharge, instead of reenlisting,” reenlisting,” said Mr. McKemy Tuesday morning. “The boys are in the finest condition, and there are now 96 of them in the company, including the officers. The camp is 94 miles from a railroad, and a bath means a hike of seven miles. Then there is the return hike of seven miles, which just about makes another bath necessary. “In case any call for volunteers is made I will enlist again as soon as I can get to the recruiting station, but I did not care to stay In camp so far from civilisation especially, from water and the advantages of transportation.”
