Neiv trial in Osborn ivater tiff denied Circuit Court Judge William F. Hood denied the motion for a new trial on the Osborn Water Case. The court ruled In favor of the defendants, the Board of County Road Commissioners and the Michigan State Highway Commission, when the case was tried in September of 1972. The plaintiffs, Mr and Mrs. Basil Christie, et al, asked for a new trial on the grounds that the verdict was against the great weight of evidence and the jury was prejudiced. In his statement denying the trial, Judge Hood said the plaintiffs did not point to any evidence that the jury was prejudiced and that he did not feel the verdict was against the great weight of evidence.
