DalteV/arnesto Rebuild Homestead Dallas G. Warne, who retired February 28 after more than 30 year's with the U. S. Army and the Veterans Administration, plans to rebuild the house on the Warne homestead and establish residence there with his wife. I The Warnes plan to begin work on the house, located at the south ' " edge of Hobbs, as soon as weather permits. At the present, they-are living south of Cedar Corner. Warne, son of the late Charles and Ida Warne, of Tipton, entered government service as a private in Company I in 1917. He served in both world wars. Discharged at the close of World War II with the rank of colonel, Warne spent most of the time between the two conflicts, and the period since his last discharge, with the Veterans Administration. With the VA, he served in many parts of the United States. Warne's last assignment was assistant manager of Veterans hospital ou Cold Spring road, Indianapolis. The former Tipton resident was reared here £nd in Tipton county. Warne's wife is the former Miss Eula Seright, daughter of the late J. I. .Seright, of Tipton, and a sister of Mrs. Orintha Smith, 241'.*! HAILTON LEGION—
