PROBLEMS OF DEMOCRACY WINNERS Winners of the Problems of Democracy Contest sponsored by the Citizens Teenage Club of America which is comprised of senior students at St. Gabriel's High School were announced yesterday. Tbey are: seated left: Cletus Van Blargan, Lawrence Kelly and John Washko, whose project "The Mining Situation as a Declining Industry" captured first place; Anthony Barletta and James Rondosh, who won second place honors with an "Urban Renewal exhibit. Back row: Ellen McGrory, Cynthia Cynthia Farley and Rita Sharkey whose project "Appalachian Regional Development" won third place. Others standing are: Sister Margaret Margaret Joseph, moderator; Mrs. Emmett Pendcrgast, Sister Mary Josette and Sister Mary Antonio, who served as judges. Sister Mary Davidica and John Cry an who also judged the various projects relating to national democratic problems, were absent when the photo was taken. All the winners are senior students at St. Gabriel's.
