News of Girl Scouts' bridging, awards and camping experiences At a Bridging Ceremony held June 8, the following Junior Girl Scouts were received into Cadettes: Koslyn Gordon, Terri Whitmore, Linda Maly, Carol Creager, Troop HG5; Angela Harris, Charlene Ambush, Mary Lou Smith, Debbie Shankle, April Fulmer, Lcda Sewell, Lolita Hall, Troop 178. already been "tied" into the Senior Girl Scout troop and will continue their Scouting experience there. Troop activities during the Spring have included a class in Astronomy at Hood College, and a class in First Aid to Animals at Frederick Community College. Girls have given service by aiding with the Brownie Scout Trip to the Smithsonian Institute, D.C., helping with the Special Olympics in Frederick (and looking foward to helping with the State Special Olympics at Towson), and manning an information booth at the 'recent Family Festival in Baker Park Camping experiences have included a weekend with the Cth grade Juniors at Camp Misty Mount, and a backpacking weekend on the Appalachian Trail. Inter-troop activities have included a Rap-In, Swim-In at the YMCA, a get together with the Cadette troop at the Maryland School for the Deaf, and Swimming party-picnic with the Senior Scouts.
