I j % LT. LEWIS W. KIKER JR. * * * II Plainview Man Is Winner Of "Wings PLAINVIEW, March 7 (Special) Second Lt. Lewis W. Kiker, Plainview, and former manager of the Kiker Service Station here, was awarded the silver wings of an Air Force pilot in graduation ceremonies for members of Class 53-A-3 of the USAF Basic Pilot School (Multi-Engine) at Reese Air Force Base. Lt. Kiker began his pilot training in January, 1952, as an aviation cadet at Barstow Field, Fla., transferring to Reese in August, 195J, and receiving his commission as a second lieutenant in the Air Force Reserve on February 2, 1953. Prior to entering the Air Force in December, 1950, Lt. Kiker attended high school in Plainview and took college work at Texas Tech two years, graduating in January, 1949, with a B. B. A. in business management.
