Southwestern Art Display Features Two Painters Bebe Coonly. and Gladys Moore are featured artists in the Southwestern Art Display at the Chamber of Commerce Building beginning in December for three months. The display is sponsored by the Woman's Department of the Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Coonly paints historical events ol the west. She attended attended Mills College and graduated from Stanford University in IMC. She studied art with Henry Balinh in Santa Fe. Several of Mrs. Coonly's paintings are showing at the Chamizal Memorial building. She is a member ol the National Society of Art. Gladys Moore was raised on a cattle ranch in New Mexico. She studied with the late Kate K. Ball, the Art Academy, at a number of workshops and at the Summer School of Painting at Ox-Bow, Mich. Most of Mrs. Moore's paintings paintings are scenes of the desert from brilliant sunsets to dusty days. Mrs. Moore is Third-Vice President of El Paso Chapter National Society of Arts and Letters. She is also a member of the El Paso Art Association. Her paintings have been exhibited in the Sun Carnival Show and at shows held by the El Paso Art Association at the El Paso Museum of Art.
