A delegation of Algona business consisting of Mayor J. T. Chfis- chilles, Geo. C. Call, A. D. Clarke, Col, T. F. Cooke and Harvey Ingham had an Interview Friday with President Marvin Hughitt of the Chicago & Northwestern Railway Company in his office in Chicago. The interview had been previously arranged for the discussion discussion of Algona Interests as affected by the building enterprises which the company has under way. It was a very pleasant exchange of views and was decidedly satisfactory to the dslegation and to all the people of Algona. Mr> Hughitt says with reference to. She Sanborn-Burt line that it was projected projected with a view to a more direct Dkko- ta connection. He fully confirmed the selection of the south survey west to the county line. He did not commit himself with regard to the Denison extension extension further than to say that the line would be built to Sac City. He said foiir surveys had been run to Rolfe. If the St. Paul connection was made the junction would be made at the point between Algona and Irvington Irvington heretofore indicated bv all the reports. reports. He said a through St. Paul train would be soon put on, and that when theSanborn-Burt connection was made a through train from Dakota to Chicago would also be put on. With regard to divisions no change would be made. A switch merely would be put in atBurt. Mr. Hughitt's reserve with regard to the Denison line is not taken seriously, in view of what other officials of the road have given out and considering considering the surveys that have been made. It is apparently as sure as anything in the future can be. GLARE BROS. Out* whole Blankets C 2C AT TO RUN HOLIDAYS, X
