Some days ago Louis Alfred Gourdain, of tbe firm of tiourdam & Courcier, was, at the instance of several prominent New Orleans merchants, arrested in Chicago as a defaulter and brought baok here. - Numerous suits were instituted instituted against him and be was thrown into jail. : .
