Leahy this morning will assume command of the Battle Force, and gain temporary rank of admiral when he breaks out his new 4-starred flag at main truck of the flagship California as relief of Admiral Harris Laning...Kempff's Record...Admiral Fenner...In June he will relieve RADM Thomas C. Hart as commander of the Scouting Force cruiser squadron.
