TTIGHLAND PARK, June 17.— •*••*• Passing the fifty-ninth milestone in married life, Mr. and Mrs. P. I. Kennedy, of 334 Francis street, Highland Highland Park, celebrated their fifty- ninth wedding anniversary recently at the home of friends in Los Angeles. Angeles. Both the bridesmaid, Mrs. Lydn Thomas Stevens of Alamedn, who is 79 and the best man, Luther M. Nelson Nelson of Foirburg, Neb., who is also 7!), were with Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy, who are both 82, to spend the day with them. They attended church together in Glendale after which a family dinner dinner was held at the home of a daughter, daughter, Mrs. H. M. Ware. In the afternoon, afternoon, open house was held and over GO guests called, most of whom had known the couple for 40. years or longer. There were 1- present who had attended school with them, or had known them in their homo town more than GO years ago. . Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy were married married in Fairburg on June 11, 1SSO. Mrs. Kennedy will remain in Los Angeles for the summer with her daughter and Mr. Kennedy has returned home. Both Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy are a well-known couple here and are both active in church work. They have lived in Bakersfield for 11 years and in California for IS.
