Watchmen Will Sing At Mass Rally Sunday At DAHS Aud The Watchmen, one of the leading young Gospel singing groups Of the North, will be appearing at DuBois Area Senior High School Auditorium on Sun., Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. This talented group of young men has been presenting concerts all across the United States for the past six years. They have performed on television and radio, and have recorded nine long playing albums with two more being planned in the near future. The Watchmen Watchmen j recently gained national recognition by singing at The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tenn. The Watchmen began their career in ' Gospel music in 1967 at a local hymn- sing. Since that time however, the group has evolved into one of the top performing and most sought after young Gospel groups in the North. Each year the group travels thousands of miles performing on the concert stage, for high school assemblies, at civic functions, functions, local and county festivals, and churches. The Watchmen are comprised of six musically talented individuals including including John Abraham, lead singer & manager of the group; Loren Greene, baritone and sound technician; Minnie Abraham, pianist and mother of three members of the group; Jim McDonald, steel and lead guitarist; Ken Abraham, drummer and evangelist; Howard (Tink) Abraham, tenor, bass guitarist, pianist and arranger for the group. The Watchmen will be singing at the kick-off Mass Rally for the World Vision Week Missionary Conferences in ten local area United Methodist Churches, and in the Gospel Center of Reynoldsville. Reynoldsville. Rev. Donald Mclntosh will speak. All are welcome.
