(AP) — Lewis Cass High School students are printing their school newspaper at the Pharos-Tribune and using techniques learned by their teacher at the professional newspaper. "We wanted something different for our senior issue," said Christi Spradlin, a senior editor for the Kings' Courier. Last summer faculty adviser Stu Engle worked in an intern program at the Pharos-Tribune for journalism teachers. He continues to write for the newspaper on a part-time basis. Engle gives his students control of their paper's writing and design. "It's a student publication. It's not my paper, or anything like that. It's what they want," he said. Spradlin said her work at the paper teaches responsibility. "You have your job. You have to get it done," she said.
