Treadwell Announces For Commissioner Royce E. Treadwell, farm owner in the Shady Grove community, announced his candidacy this Week for the office of. county commissioner commissioner from the Checotah district subject to the democratic primary in July. Treadwell Is,a native of Mcintosh Mcintosh county and attended Chccatali-j High school. - - • In 1941 Treadwell Joined the National National Park Service in Colorado whore he worked building roads on which he said he has had wide experience. More recently he has been employed' by Cotton- Ross building a network of fine rural roads In the southern part of Muskogee Muskogee county. In 1942 he Joined the naval air force where he served four years. Ho spent 18 months in action in the South Pacific. Ross said he would appreciate the support of everyone who would like to see a real sj^stem of rural roads built in this district out of existing revenues.
