THE EIIDLESS Cllill! 1 Death Angel at Bottom of Ufa's Puzzle Cont!nuall Tugging Away. , ' " TEARS OF SORROW ITS GREATEST LUBRICANT Passing of Peter Foster, Sr., a Pioneer Huntington Resident - Death of ; Mrs. Ellis and Mrs. Mary Johnson. After an Illness lasting little more than two months Peter Foster passed away at the home of bla daughter, Mrs. George Klndler of Poplar street, Monday evening at 11 o'clock. His death was due to a gradual decline In health caused by old age and the end came peacefully. He was aware that he would probably not survive the attack and had calmly resigned himself to bis fate. Peter Foster was born in Germany on September 11, 1819, where he spent the younger part of his life. He was married in the old world, but at the age of thirty - five he decided that America had better things in store for him than did his native land so with! his family he immigrated to this conn - try. They - first settled in Pennsyl - Tania, but in the fal of 1852 they removed to Huntington where they always lived until 'the time of their deaths. As a stone mason he was engaged In the erection of many of our public buildings and was, perhaps, the last man who had assisted In the construction of our old court house. He watched the construction of the new one with: great Interest He was ever careful and competent In his "work and many of our public buildings bear the impress of his individuality. For some years past his age has rendered him unfit for labor and he has been ' living a quiet and retired life. .Mrs. Foster died nearly ten years ago and of his Immediate relatives he leaves only fonr children to mourn his departure. They are one eon and three daughters: Nicholas, the son, resides at Hammond and the daughters, Mrs. John Klndler, Mrs. George Klndler, and Mrs. Peter Foster, are residents of Huntington. The funeral win he held Thursday morning at 9 o'clock at Ss. Peter and Paul's church in this city with Rev. Father Miller officiating. The inter - ' ment will be In the Mt.
