Michael Luddy. ' ' Michael Luddy, a well known and esteemed resident of the Fifth ward, died at his home, 2209 Eleventh avenue, avenue, a t 1:20. o'clock this morning of tuberculosis after an illness covering a period of one year. Deceased was born in Ireland and was aged 49, years. , He bad resided at Galldtzia' for a number of years and came to Altoona some fifteen years ago and had since resided here. He entered the employ of the Pennsylvania RaiS road company on taking up his residence residence here and at the time he took ill and was compelled to relinquish work he held the position of Inspector Inspector at roundhouse No. 3. He was a member of the St. .Tohn'R Catholic. church, the Pennsylvania Railroad Relief association and was held in esteem and respect in the community . in which he lived. His wife preceded preceded him to the grave twelve years ago' and he is survived by five children as follows: Reglna, Michael, Catherine, William and Stephen, all at home. He is also survived by one brother and two sisters, Stephen Luddy, of Den-niston, Den-niston, Den-niston, O.; Mrs. Thomas Cassidy, ot Altoona and Mrs. Joseph Bertram, ot Gallltzin. The funeral arrangements will be announced later.
