1 THREE ARE DEAD AFTER HOLDUP BY BANDIT GANG . BUILDING ASSOCIATION DIRECTORSROBBER DIRECTORSROBBER FALLS. SUSPECTED MAN IS HELD COVINGTON. Ky., March 6. With one bandit dead and a suspected man in custody, the police are searching for the third member of the gang which held up a meeting of the Ninth Ward Building Association of Covington, last night, and killed two of the directors and 'wounded a third, the latter the chief of police of Covington. One of the bandits was killed by Chief Kleump - er after he had shot down the two directors. directors. Soon after the. men entered Corbin said he heard a fusillade of shots and two of his fares ran out and at toe point of a revolver forced him to drive them away from the scene. Corbin identified Kearney as one of his passengers, the police said. " Leap Into Room. The six directors of the association had Just been called to order by President President Nordmeyer when the three bandits leaped into the room and with drawn revolvers demanded the money on the table, which amounted to about $C.5O0. Ilehm attempted to hide the cash box and fell accross the table, dead, with a bullet through his heal. The other directors made it wild rush for safety, as all three of the desperadoes had opened fire with their guns and Nordmeyer. Nordmeyer. also shot through the head, fell Into the arms of his son.
