Mrs. Hattie,Clapp is seriously ill at her home. Visiting her at this time are her brother, R. U. Frazier and Mrs. Frazier of Burnet, and her sister, Mrs. Booty Humble of Los Angeles, California. Dr. and Mrs. C. R. Fry of Centerville, Iowa, are visiting in the home of his sister, Mrs. C. D. Franz and family. Mrs. John Alt entertained Mr. and Mrs. Billie Chestnut and Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Ray and family with a Thanksgiving day turkey dinner. Saw a dressed half of a 495 Mrs. Ruth Vining was a guest of Mrs. Owen H. Edwards Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Green and son spent their Thanksgiving with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Pilgreen of Conroe. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sullivan and daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Canon and children of Dayton, Texad, were dinner .guests of his sister, Mrs. A. A. Alexander and family Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Daye and family were in Houston Saturday and met his brother, M. H. Daye of Henderson. Mrs. J. S. Poteete of Singleton visited with her daughter, Mrs. C. D. Forman and family during the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Page and daughter, Beau of Orange, spent Thanksgiving holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. 0. Gray. Little Miss Janette Reed of Clodine spent Wednesday with Mrs. S. L, Granger. Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Rasch, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Rasch, Mr. and Mrs. John Mercer, Miss Maxine Spears and Jim Larde, were guests of Mrs. Rose Ernstes and family Thanksgiving Day. Miss Marifrances Surrutt of Austin spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Lanier Hendry. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hood and family had Thanksgiving dinner with their daughter, Mrs. Herbie Carew and Mrs. Johnie Heneke and their families in Goose Creek. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. McCord have started construction of a 28'x36' frame house on their property. It is located west of Buffalo Bayou, on what was the Stockdick Estate.
