UNITED SYNAGOGUE BRANCH WILL MEET Eastern Pennsylvania Session at" Allentown ALLENTOWN, June . 10. A con ference of the Eastern Pennsylvania branch of. the United Synagogue of America will be held at the Allentown Jewish community center; Sunday. Session will open at 130, and will continue all afternoon. - i The program will Include an ad dress of welcome by Rabbi Matthew S. Rosen; greeting from the mayor of Allentown; an address by Rabbi Louis m. Levitsxy, or w;ikes - Barre, on "What the United Synagogue Stands For;" report by. A. B. Cohen, of Scranton, national chairman of the committee of one thousand: ad dress by Joseph L. Prince, of PottS' town, on "What the Men's Club Can Do For You." and a discussion of the Adoption Plan." It is proposed to aid the smaller communities throughout this district and to stimulate Jewish activities through a plan wherebr the rabbis of the larger cities would "adopt" the smaiier communities, visit them regularly and encourage and advise the officers of theNocal synagogue and school in the manning of their religious work.
