Dr, K, 6, Hansson Dies; Was Pioneer In Physiotherapy * Dr. Kristian G. Hansson, phy siotherapy pioneer who once spent j two years in Wellsvllle, was buried buried yesterday at Putney, Vt. where he had made his hc/me with his daughter, Mrs. Roy Richardson. Dr. Hansson was brought to Wellsvllle in 1914 from Nice, France, to help the late Lewis Thorntc-n in his rehabilitation from the effects of an attack of pulio. ' A native of Sweden, born In 1889, Dr. Hansson was graudated from Cornell Medical School about 1922, and afterwards headed the physiotherapy department at the medical school and was professor of orthopedics. He installed at Cornell Cornell the first indoor pool ever used for care of polio. Dr. Hansson died Tuesday at his daughter's home in Putney.
