Vernon Martelli Vernon (Red) Martelli, 61, of 179 Rowford ave SW, Perry township, died Thursday afternoon in Timken Mercy hospital in Canton after an extended illness. He was an employe of the Berger Manufacturing plant of Republic Steel Corp. in Canton and was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic church in Perry township. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Pearl Martelli; three sons, Rob ert V. Martelli of Indio, Cal., Gerald A. Martelli of Clarks- vffie, Tenn., and Richard D. Martelli of Coachaella, Cal.; .four sisters, Mrs. Dan Sturia, Mrs. Sullivan Gambow, Mrs. Earl Gunuip and Mrs. Mike Caley, all of Canton; a brother, An-; thony Martelli of Sherman Oaks, Cal.; five grandchildren and a great-grandson. The funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc church. Interment will be made in Calvary cemetery. The body is at the Rossi funeral home in Canton, where friends may call today until 4 and from 7 to 9 tonight. The rosary will be prayed at 8 tonight in the funeral home.
