First Old Nixon, Texas settler 1852. Capt. Robert Thomas Nixon, and his brother John T, Nixon.
Captain Robert Thomas Nixon followed his brother John Nixon to Texas in 1852. His father Zachariah was lost at sea enroute to Texas to join his sons in 1855. The Nixon's are buried in the Rancho Cemetery on Gonzales County.
