The "Mari Lwyd" is a man covered by a white sheet and holding a broomstick broomstick on which is mounted the skull of a horse. Accompanied Accompanied by four or five of the neighboring farmers they stop outside a door and sing: "Here we come, harmless friends To ask your permission to sing"
